Introduction to CPAP treatment
The gold standard treatment for OSA is a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) device which provides a continuous yet gentle stream of air through your nose to keep your airway open whilst you sleep. This treatment is extremely effective and has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular events like heart attacks and strokes and help you feel less tired and to prevent snoring.
Our sleep technician on the day of your introduction will:
- Discuss the importance of treatment (as recommended by the sleep physician who reviewed your test)
- Demonstrate the setup of the device
- Customise the equipment in order to help you get the most out of your treatment
- Demonstrate how to maintain the device
The cost of four weeks of treatment is $290.00 and is payable on the day of your first treatment
During the initial treatment period, your technician will regularly review the effectiveness of the CPAP device and be available to provide the best possible ongoing assistance and support.
